Rex Douglas Kiser

Randy just cleared me on posting the name, he finally told all of his family. :)

Rex Douglas Kiser will be our little boy's name. Rex Kiser was Randy's grandfather and Doug Kiser is Randy's father. We combined to two names to make one strong name for our little man.

Rex and Doug Kiser are two of the most amazing men and I am thrilled our son will be named after them. :)

We are having a BOY!

Well after a very long appointment yesterday, we found out we are having a little boy! :) It was amazing, they checked all of his little organs and he is one healthy baby! I am 19 weeks today so I was glad they were able to tell us the sex of the baby, they were a little skeptical but in the end...it is a boy!! We do have a name picked out, so stay tuned...we need to tell all the our families first!

I of course went shopping last night after I found out it was a little boy...here are a few photos of things I found.

These three onesies were the only ones I could find with something about daddy and a boy. :) I wanted to get something to show Randy. I'm not a big dinosaur fan, but these were too cute to pass up!

Of course...and I love Daddy bib! :)

Cozy Blanket :)

Randy actually bought this for the baby and let me open it on Christmas day! So sweet!

Every little baby thing I see now, I fall in love with! I can't wait to meet our little man!

Tomorrow is the big day! (Well one of them)

Well tomorrow is the day we find out if it is a boy or girl! :) We are very excited and FINALLY have names picked out! I won't share until we know for sure of course.

Christmas was excellent, we went to Kansas to spend the holidays and visit Randy's family. We ate a ton of food and came back exhausted, so I guess you could say it was a successful trip!

Here are a few photos from the weeks past that I haven't posted yet.

17 weeks. Baby is the size of a sweet potato.

18 weeks. Baby is the size of a large mango. (The mango wasn't near big enough.)

Here are a few Christmas Pictures! Not many, it takes too long to upload, but just a glimpse into our holidays!

Since we've been home, we have started a new project...tiling the bathroom floors! :) Randy has taken on this project actually. He is doing a great job! I will post pictures when he's done!

That's all in the life of the Kiser's at the moment. The nursery is the next project after we find out if the baby is a boy or girl. I cannot wait to get started!!

Whew lots to update!

So it has been a few weeks since I have been on here. I have been a busy busy girl! Things at work have been hectic, not to mention...I graduate with my Master's Degree in ONE WEEK! :) I am very excited! Anyway, baby is doing great! Growing everyday and I am enjoying being pregnant now! :)

Here is my picture from week 15! Baby is the size of a large avacado.

Here is my picture from week 16. Baby is the size of a turnip.

We have decided on a crib, we think. :) We love it!

So...what do you think? We love all of these items, but of course reserve the right to change our mind. :) In all seriousness though, we will probably get these. I have fallen in love and can already picture them in our sweet baby's room.

14 Weeks

Yesterday was our doctor's appointment! We heard the baby's heartbeat for the first time, and let me tell you, it was amazing. I believe it was somewhere between 150 and 160. We recorded it on our iPhones so we could listen to it over and over again! Our next appointment is on December 29th (5 weeks from now), we get to find out the sex of the baby! I can't wait to put a name with our sweet boy or girl. :) Here is my 14 week picture. The baby is the size of a navel orange.

My tummy is still not showing very much, but I am sure that is coming. I will take a picture every week with a new fruit or vegetable. :)

Overall I am feeling pretty good! I am loving the holiday season and making plans to start working on the nursery. Randy of course is being wonderful! We are having a blast with this baby! :)

I was going to put some nursery ideas on here, but I can't get the pictures from other websites to load. Perhaps when this computer doesn't out smart me, I can fill you all in! :) We are thinking about starting on it over Christmas!

New Loves

Kiwi is a new love of mine. :)

I am not sure why, but I love it so. I bought a bag of six of them about a week ago, and needless to say...they did not last long. However, I think I just really like sour things. I don't buy kiwi's that are "ready." I buy the ones that are a little sour. A lady at work tried one the other day and said it tasted like a lime. :) Oops. hehe. I also love pickles, lemons, etc...yikes. But don't worry I am into other fruits and veggies too, I just find myself leaning towards these foods more.

I also believe it will soon be time for maternity pants. I am using the old "rubberband" trick on my pants right now...but this does not always do the trick. It gets especially complicated on dress pants. So...I am on the search for decent maternity clothes in the East Texas area. Any ideas? If not, I will pay my brother a visit in Lewisville and hit up the Dallas stores. If you have any fabulous stores I need to hit, let me know! I am up for any suggestions!

And on a last happy note...it is the count down to Thankgiving break...I am thankful for that!

Good-Bye First Trimester!

Well, gladly the first trimester is pulling to a close! Although being pregnant is fabulous, being sick was not! :) About a week ago I started feeling more normal and since then, it has been smooth sailing. It is so nice to be able to cook again and not worry about getting sick. :) I know it won't be all fun and games the whole time, but I am loving feeling good!

My next doctor's appointment is over Thanksgiving break and I should be able to hear the heartbeat then! I am just looking forward to the holidays and getting sometime off with family!

Below I posted my first belly picture. :) It isn't much at all, I am not showing very much yet but I have a little bump! My kiddos at school were starting to notice that my belly was showing a little bit. One of them actually said, "Mrs. Kiser I guess your baby is starting to grow because your tummy looks fat." haha, kids...so good for the self-esteem. Anyway, thought you might enjoy my "fat" picture. :)

10 Week Sonogram

We had another appointment today! I am 10 weeks along, we were hoping to hear to heartbeat but it was still a little too soon. The doctor wanted to do a sono even though it wasn't time yet, just to give me peace of mind! I am thrilled he did a sono, the baby looks like a baby!! :) WE could see him/her moving around in there today and I have to say...that was the most amazing feeling ever. I cannot wait to actually feel the baby move in me.

I have been feeling extremely ill at night but I am hoping that is starting to get better. I heard that by the 12th week, some of that starts to subside. :) I know it is all worth it though!

My friend Regina gave me a great book that you have probably all heard of called, What to Expect When You're Expecting. I have been reading it often, I find it fasinating. If you are expecting and haven't invested in it yet...do it! :)

Baby Time!

Welcome to our blog! I will be able to post more details on here than of course somewhere such as facebook! I got this idea from my good friend Kristen who just had a baby, her blog was so cute and I enjoyed reading every word of it!

As you know by now--We are having a baby! :) The due date is May 26, 2011. We are very excited! Our first doctor's appointment was on Wednesday October 6, 2010. We were able to see the baby and see the heart beat! The next appointment is in two weeks and we will hopefully be able to hear the heart beat then! :) Right now (in week 7) the baby is the size of a raspberry, still very small but growing every day! Every week is a new adventure so stay tuned for pictures and updates!
