Busy Busy!

Wow, life with 2 kids! Very different than one...or none! Lol. We love it though! Olivia has started daycare and guess what?? She's already been sick! We have spent the last 10 days trying to get her over a cold (which turned into Croup!) Yuck! Dr. Hudson started her on breathing treatments and she appears to be on the mend! Poor girl! She's a trooper though!

She is 11 weeks and 2 days! She weighs 10 lbs 12 oz and is 22.75 inches long! She is still a pretty "chill" baby! She loves to just hang with us!

Rex has had a big time lately too! Last weekend he spent some good "man" time outside with Randy! They hammered things and did "man stuff" as Rex says! He also is loving his tent Mimi made him! It goes on the kitchen table and he goes under it!

This kids loved his little sister though! Anywhere we are, he wants to be!

I'm seeing a close bond in their future!!

On another note, Rex is turning FOUR on Friday! Crazy! We had his party this weekend! (Blog about that later) but it was GREAT!!

Just a sneak peek! Lol. Oh and look at this cutie! She was dressed very appropriate for the occasion!

It was a FANTASTIC day! Rex really had a blast!

And lastly, I finally chopped off my hair! 6 inches! Wow!

It was time. I was looking pretty rough. Lol. I'm loving the new hairdo!

Mother's Day was absolutely wonderful! Well actually, it was stressful, Livi was overly tired and fussy from the day before  (Rex's party) but isn't that what motherhood is? Dealing with motherly things? I really wouldn't have it any other way...I was with my hubby and kids...that's all that mattered! :) oh and they got me a birthstone family necklace!

Ignore the no makeup, I loooove the necklace! My first thing with all of our stones! Love it!

My kids are everything to me! I can imagine life without them...yeah that's right, I said CAN. Life would be quiet, not as stressful, peaceful...but my heart would be missing two huge pieces. And I don't know about you...but I cannot imagine wanting to live that way. I stare at them and smile, worry, laugh, and cry. Being a mom is just that way, and I was born to do it!

So Happy Mother's Day! :) Stay tuned for a post on Rex's TMNT PARTY!

2 Months!!

Wow, we are at 2 months already for Ms. Olivia! She had her check-up today with Dr. Hudson.
She weighed 10 lbs. 7 oz. and is 21.5 inches long! She took her shots like a champ!
I don't think she was thrilled though! Lol.

Other than that, we have just been getting in the swing of a routine! Olivia starts daycare tomorrow. Yikes, I'm not looking forward to it! But, no choice!

Here is her 2 month photo!! She's getting so expressive! She is smiling, cooing and grabbing at things. She eats every 3 hours/4oz. She CAN sleep through the night, but doesn't always. Lol.

She's good at the smiles though!
Rex is doing a wonderful job as a big brother!! He loves his sister!

So in closing! We are ready for summer!! Lol.

6 Weeks and Growing!

Well our little love bug has turned 6 weeks! Wow! Time is flying! Most people say they want time to slow down...I'm not sure I do. I love watching our girl grow! She's more fun each day!
Here she is grabbing her toy on her bouncer! Such a champ!

We also went for a ride to the bank the other day! Dr. Hudson has not wanted her to get out at all due to flu and RSV. It's been tough but we are respecting those wishes! However, the bank has a drive thru! Lol. She was fine until I rolled down the window. This startled her...and she flipped out! Poor girl. I calmed her down though and all was fine!

Easter is tomorrow but it is suppose to rain so Rex and I hunted eggs today!
Then we decided to take a walk and he rode his tricycle! So much fun!! I love spending time with this guy!!

Rex has just recently taken a pretty big interest (in a good way) to Olivia!
He loves to "play" with her while she is awake! He also loves to help me! He goes to get diapers, burp cloths and picks out toys for Olivia to play with! Such a great big brother!

The sleeping arrangements with Olivia are proving to be a bit difficult. We had her in a bassinet, then did a few nights in the crib, then she started boycotting that. (During a growth spurt...I think she was just fighting sleep altogether.) we are now trying the pack n play for a little while. She seems to like it so far!
(This was a nap)--since it is similar to the crib...hopefully that transition isn't far off.

Well the Easter Bunny paid the kids a visit tonight!
Here is what the kids scored! :) lol. I know this isn't the reason for Easter...but kids are kids and need to be kids! :) The Easter Bunny is fun!

Well hoping for a 4 hour stretch of sleep tonight! I start back to work on Thursday! I'm excited to see everyone but do not want to leave baby girl! I'm still pretty sleep deprived. Hoping to catch up a bit before Thursday! Have a Happy Easter!

Much Love!
Hillary

New Addition

Wow! 2014 and the start of 2015 has been amazing! In July of 2014 we found out we would be adding to the Kiser family in March (ended up being February) of 2015!

This pregnancy was not an easy one! I felt I had issues from the very beginning! Terrible morning sickness, followed by high blood pressure later on! My wonderful doctor felt it best to bring our new addition into the world when I was 37 weeks along!

On February 20, I was induced at 7:00 AM!

By 6:42 PM we had a new baby girl!!! Olivia Kate Kiser! 7 lbs. 4 oz. 19 inches long!

We are so in love! Olivia turned 5 weeks on Friday and April is fast approaching!

She had her 2 week check up and was back up to her birth weight and was 19.25 inches long!

Right now (at 5 weeks) she is eating every 2-3 hours...3 oz per feeding! We had to switch her formula from Similac Advanced to Gerber Good Start Soothe! She was super gassy and colicky! Thank goodness after one week on the new stuff, she is MUCH happier! :)

I of course wanted to do photos for each month so I took a photo when she was 3 days old, then her one month photo! I love seeing the changes!

3 days old!

And a nice collage of 1 month! Lol.

We are having so much fun with her and Rex is adjusting to having a little sister!

He is a great big brother!! Just extremely loud! Lol.

Daddy of course is smitten with his baby girl! He's such a great father to both of our kids!!

Maternity leave is almost over for me! Olivia is going to stay with grandparents until April 22, but I have to go back April 9. I'm loving my time with her, and wanting it to slow down! Right now we are transitioning her to her crib...she is a noisy sleeper and I can't get any sleep while she's in our room! Lol. She likes the crib, so all in all I think it's a good move!

She is also starting to smile, make funny faces and grab things! Big girl!

I had my 6 week check up today and I am healthy and feeling good! Only 6 lbs from my pre-preggo weight!! Yay!

I know this was a fast and furious update! But life with two kids is fast and furious! :) I am tired but love my little family!! I have loved going back and reading my old posts on Rex so I am hoping to do the same with Olivia!! ;) Stay tuned!

It's Fall! :)

Well it has been a busy month in the Kiser household! Football season has kicked off, daycare is back in full swing and my new job is FABULOUS! :) We may be busy, but we are loving every minute of it!

Obviously as stated before, Rex started back to daycare. It was a bit of a rough start...he cried for about a week every day when Randy would drop him off...ugh, I hated it. But after a week, he walked in almost by himself, waved "bye bye" to daddy and was on his way. He loves his new teacher Ms. Megan and his friends! The teachers talk about how smart he is! I know he is doing very well!

We love our weekends around here though! Its a time to catch up on laundry, house cleaning and give a lot of extra love to our little man! He eats well around here, lol. We usually make sure we have a big breakfast for him, he loves it! Right now eggs are his favorite!! He loves hashbrowns, yogurt, apple sauce, waffles (blueberry), and biscuits! Of course he doesn't eat that all in one meal, but those are some of the things we fix him!

When new teacher orientation started up for me, it was hard to be away from my boy! I always tried to make the best of it when I came home in the afternoons! Here is a picture of us playing after me being at work!

A few Sunday's ago was Grandparents Day! We love Rex's Grandparents! We decided we would take a picture of Rex and send it to everyone! I hope they enjoyed the gesture! :)

Rex has been learning how to kiss on the cheeks! lol. He is always wanting to give his friends kisses at school...and I shutter at the thought of him kissing them on the mouth. So he is getting very good at the cheek kisses. Later I will teach him about personal space. lol.

Like I said..Rex eats well on the weekends! We always try to go out to eat with him (if at all possible) on the weekends. Just a little time out of the house and with each other! We went to Pasados the other night and the kid cleaned his plate! He loves his Mexican food!! Afterward he had an ice cream cone...as you can imagine, that was a HUGE hit!

Who-Hoo!! We are in full potty training mode! My goal is to have him completely potty trained by Christmas. I know that seems like a long time, but I can't do much about the day because he is at school. His class right now is starting potty training but exclusively does it starting in December. However, at night, he is pottying often!! I love it! Less diapers, less mess, proud momma, proud boy! His potty chart is actually almost full now, this picture is from when we first started it!

IT's FALL!!! Finally cooler temperatures and more fun outside! I think he looks happy about it too!

Did I say Rex can eat?? Oh my goodness! Between him and Randy, my grocery bill is outrageous! lol. He sooooo hungry after school, but I get out much earlier this year so it is too early to eat dinner. Last year I would pick him up at 4:45 or 5:00 and it was almost dinner time. This year I pick him up about 3:45! (so nice!) But he is starving, so we usually have a small snack! He loves veggie stix and hummus! :)

Ahhh I LOVE FALL! I found this on Pinterest and asked my mom about it! She said she could make it easily, and SHE DID! I love it! She did an awesome job!

My brother and SIL were supposed to come in this weekend but Danny came down with the stomach bug...they didn't want to risk Rex getting sick, so they stayed put. I am finding I do not know what to do to with myself. lol. So I decided to decorate a bit! More pictures to come soon!

Happ Fallidays! ;)
